Wally's Kaffeehaus brings the Viennese Coffee House tradition right into the
heart of Cardiff. We have our own unique menu of continental breakfasts and open sandwiches, cakes
and patisseries, Italian gelato and an exciting range of coffees, teas, hot chocolates and
alcoholic beverages.
Our range of coffees includes several
varieties which are unique to Austria and only rarely found in the UK. These include the famous
Melange, a double espresso with hot foamed milk and the Einspanner, a double espresso with whipped
cream.
The range of cakes available at Wally's Kaffeehaus
includes many continental classics, such as Chocolate & Raspberry Gateau, Viennese Apple Cake,
Tiramisu Gateau, and Sachertorte. Invented by Franz Sacher and made famous by the Hotel Sacher in
Vienna, Sachertorte is a soft and fluffy chocolate cake with a layer of tasty apricot jam and
frosted with dark chocolate.
The menu of open sandwiches and meat and cheese
platters (Aufschnitts) reflects the eastern European heritage of the business. The
sandwiches are made with breads typical of the region, and include rye and sourdough breads.

Mon-Fri from 2.30 pm to 4.45 pm and Saturdays from 3.30 pm to 5.00 pm.)
Please note that we now have a Loyalty Card scheme to reward frequent visitors
to Wally's Kaffeehaus! Customers will be given a Loyalty Card and this will entitle them to order a
FREE hot drink (i.e. coffee, tea or hot chocolate) as soon as 9 Loyalty stamps have been collected.
One Loyalty stamp will be issued with any purchase in the Kaffeehaus and also anyone spending £5 or
more in Wally's Delicatessen will also receive a stamp towards their free drink.
Our extensive range of coffees, tea and hot chocolate are
also available for take-away, as are our cakes and pastries from our patisserie
counter.
Wally's Kaffeehaus is situated on the First Floor of the premises occupied by
Wally's Delicatessen at 38 - 46 Royal Arcade, Cardiff. Access is gained
via the stairs at the back of the Deli as shown below.
